Good morning George, I just wanted to let you know that I had a chance to shoot [the Empire rifle].  I am very impressed. . .  The fit and finish are outstanding and the balance is very good. I had a chance to shoot it at the range and the rifle shot very well.  Three different types of ammo shot under 1 inch and most shooting around ½ to ¾  inch.  The S&B scope with the 9A reticle is awesome. November 27, 2006 follow up from Rhett: "Good morning George, I just wanted to let you know how it is performing.  [This weekend] I put round 400 through the rifle and it is only getting better.  [It groups] anywhere from .25" to .50" on a regular basis.  It is unbelievable what the rifle will do at 200 and 300 yds. I shot the best group of my life at 300 yds. and it measured .245”.  The rifle is extremely accurate and I am well pleased.  I also hit 12 – 4” clay targets a 300yds. all in a row with out a single miss.  I am not trying to brag or say that I am a great shot. . . it goes to the accuracy of the rifle.  Thanks for the great rifle.  Rhett P."

The Empire 98L is CNC machined from 8620 Chrome-Moly or 17-4 Stainless Steel.  The 98L bolt has an integral bolt handle and full length guide rail.  The 98L is available for over 50 cartridges including 3.0" cartridges (ex: .308 Win family and "Short" Magnums), 3.3" cartridges (ex: .270 Win, .300 Winchester Magnum), and 3.6" cartridges (ex: .375 H&H, .458 Lott, .500 Jeffery). Available for Left- and Right-handed hunters.
